“Mother & Son Skype Sesh” was developed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and serves as a continuation of the beloved characters, Helen (portrayed by Ami Trowell) and Lester Higgins, who first appeared on the syndicated sitcom "Tuned Out."

The web series has received acclaim, winning the Audience Award for Best Scripted Short at the 2020 Agoraphobia Film Fest, the Diamond Award for Best @Home COVID-19 Short Film at the Mindfield Film Festival in Albuquerque, and the Best Sketch Comedy Duo at the British Web Awards. Additionally, it has been selected as an Official Selection at the Sketchup House Party, Dumbo Film Festival, and FLICKFAIR. Notably, Ami and Blair Peyton received awards for Best Actress and Actor (Platinum) at the Mindfield Film Festival.
